Infresco-S Controller

The Infresco-S 4kW and 6kW controllers are part of a family of controllers designed to provide energy saving when used with quartz halogen infrared heaters or other heating and lighting products. The ‘S’ soft-starts the load either when power is applied to the unit or by the use of a remote switch. The microprocessor controller-based unit incorporates zero-voltage switching and a soft-start function to eliminate the high initial inrush current of the heaters. This increases heater element life by up to 30%, while preventing nuisance-tripping on heavily loaded circuits. Installation of the unit is simple, and once installed is maintenance-free. The soft-start circuit is initialised each time power is supplied to the unit. Alternatively, a remote switch or heater time programmer can be added using terminals (INPUT COM) on the PCB. (in normal mode the terminals are fitted with a link, this will need to be removed and switch wires fitted). If these terminals are used an additional gland will be required to maintain the units IP rating (additional gland is supplied).
